MFRMLS announced the launching of a new website, myfloridahomesmls.com, as an effective way to compete against 3rd party listing sites. Key points of the announcement were:
- no additional expense to its members
- gives the consumer updated information every fifteen minutes
- not created to compete with agent or company sites
- there will be no advertising, up selling, lead redirection, premium placement or any other way for agents or listings to have an advantage over any other
When I first wrote about this the site was being described as "similar to realtor.com". No word on who will be in charge of search engine optimization in order to compete with those evil 3rd party sites. I would suggest they take a look at their title tags right off the bat.
It may not have been created to compete with agent sites but at the end of the day it will do just that.
