Statistics compiled by Geographical Mobility: 2007 dealing with people who move in this country listed the following reasons according to the US Census Bureau:

• The desire to own a home
• Wanting to live in a different neighborhood
• Family reasons
• Job issues

Interestingly, 52% of those who moved to the US from out of the country did so for employment.
