In February Florida's unemployment rate is 9.4%. This is up from January's 8.8% and higher than the national rate of 8.1%
Comment on the efforts to improve unemployment situation from the Agency for Workforce Innovation:
“To help reinvigorate Florida’s economy, Governor Charlie Crist recently announced the infusion of $165 million in federal economic stimulus funds to directly benefit both job seekers and businesses,” said Agency Interim Director Cynthia Lorenzo. “These funds will provide critically-needed training and job placement services including summer employment opportunities for young people and assistance for Floridians at One-Stop Career Centers around the state.”

Florida unemployment rate for December

Florida unemployment rate exceeds national rate
Florida's unemployment rate for November is reported as 7.3% which is higher than the National rate of 6.7%. The rising rate is primarily due to declines in construction throughout the State.
