Free admission to Florida State Parks

In an organized effort to promote literacy admission to the State Parks in Florida will be free during the week of September 7-13 for visitors who bring a library card, library book, or who donate a new or gently used family book.

Florida’s state parks, ... will host a variety of events during September including book readings, author appearances and book exchanges.

Florida State Parks offer free admission on July 13th

Governor Charlie Crist with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Division of Recreation & Parks and the Florida Recreation and Park Association have declared July as as Recreation and Parks Month.

Central Florida area state parks include:

  • Blue Spring State Park
  • Lake Kissimmee State Park
  • Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach
  • Anastasia State Park
  • Colt Creek State Park
  • Sebastian Inlet State Park
  • Ravine Gardens State Park
  • Fort Mose Historical State Park
