“Florida’s waters are a wonderful source of recreation and enjoyment for residents and visitors, but it’s important to always use caution and be mindful of potential hazards,” said Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Secretary Michael W. Sole in a press release announcing May 18-25 as National Beach Safety Week.
Enjoying the beaches of Florida is one reason why many choose to live and own a home in Florida. Beach safety includes; not drinking alcohol before swimming, swimming in groups near a lifeguard and making sure to keep close supervision of children.
