The Dallas Morning News reported on the home President Bush has purchased in the Dallas neighborhood of Preston Hollow.

The home is reported as being 8,500 square feet and sitting on 1.1 acres. Had President Bush decided to buy a home in Central Florida, he would have been able to select from 28 homes with similar living space and land size.

The homes President Bush could have viewed here in Central Florida have list prices starting just over $1 million up to over $9 million.

How does President Bush pick a real estate agent?

President Bush was caught on video discussing in part, his need for a home after his term ends. He mentioned that Mrs. Bush was in the Dallas area trying to buy a house.

Here are the questions that come to mind.

  • How did they find their real estate agent?
  • Will they be looking at homes that are bank owned or contingent upon a short sale?
  • Will they make a low ball offer?

I wish The Bush family would blog about their house buying experience. That would be interesting.
